    Kickemuit Middle School

Kickemuit Middle School’s mission is to educate all students to become skillful learners and responsible, productive citizens. One way to achieve this is to develop a love of reading. The summer months provide the perfect opportunity to continue practicing reading skills with books of YOUR CHOICE!

Who?     ALL students entering grades 6, 7, and 8
When?    Students are encouraged to read as many books of their choice during the summer (we suggest at least two!)
What?    Select a book (consider both fiction & non-fiction titles)

Read and complete a response form for each book

Response forms can be accessed on the Kickemuit Middle School Library homepage or by visiting the link below:

For every book and form completed, your name will be entered into a raffle. Prizes will be awarded by grade AND team, so there are many chances to win! The more you read, the better your odds!

Rogers Free Library in Bristol and George Hail Library in Warren have an extensive collection of middle grade and young adult books for students. We highly encourage you to take advantage of your town’s library. KMS has a suggested book list on our library website but any grade or level appropriate self-selected title can be selected.Visit the Kickemuit Library website and find the tab for summer reading:
