Bristol-Warren Integrated Preschool Program
The BWRSD Integrated Preschool Program at Hugh Cole School is a high-quality, BrightStars Rated 5-Star Program. Designed for children with identified disabilities, our program provides an engaging and nuturing environment where children who have and do not have educational disabilities can learn and grow together. There is a maximum class size of 15 children, and each class is staffed by one teacher who is dually- certified by the RI Department of Education in Early Childhood Education and Special Education as well as at least one teaching assistant.

Should the number of applicants exceed available space in our program, a lottery system is used to determine acceptance.
Our integrated preschool classrooms are half-day programs.
Three-year old children attend the AM Session 3 mornings per week.
*Drop Off 8:05, Class begins promptly at 8:15, Pick Up 10:45.
Four-year old children attend the PM Session 5 afternoons per week
*Drop Off 12:05, Class begins promptly at 12:10, Pick Up 2:40.
There is NO COST to families for this program. Children MUST reside in Bristol or Warren and be three- or four- years old on September 1 of the school year of attendance to be eligible for the program. Children who are age-eligible for kindergarten (i.e. 5 years old on or before Sept 21 of the school year attendance) are not eligible for the program. Requests for specific teachers are not accepted. The bus is not provided for preschoolers without educational disabilities (IEP's). Applicants must have completed Child Outreach Screening to be considered for acceptance. Special Education Services
The Bristol-Warren Regional School District offers a continuum of special education and related services for eligible children with a disability including but not limited to specially-designed instruction, occupational, physical and speech-language therapies.
Services are typically provided in one of our integrated preschool classrooms, on a “walk-in”/ appointment basis at one of the district schools or in one of the community RI PreK classrooms through the Itinerant Early Childhood Special Education model.
