To the Bristol Warren Regional School District Community

To the Bristol Warren Regional School District Community,
I am pleased to introduce Dr. Jonathan Brice as our interim superintendent. Dr. Brice is a preK-12 leader with 26+ years of experience as a teacher, school administrator and executive in five large school districts in Maryland, Florida, and Delaware.  He served as Deputy Assistant Secretary at the U.S. Department of Education and was a founding director of a non-profit organization. His areas of responsibilities have included: alternative education, public information, research and assessment, special education, student services, supporting and evaluating school principals, and technology. Additionally, Dr. Brice has been an education consultant for organizations and school districts such as the Southern Poverty Law Center, and various school districts, and in February 2018 the New Rochelle Board of Education selected Dr. Brice as Chair of the Task-Force on Reducing Violence in the Lives of Children and Youth in New Rochelle, New York.

Dr. Brice is excited to meet the BWRSD community and has shared his initial thoughts about his appointment.  “I am humbled by the opportunity to serve the students, staff, and community of the Bristol Warren Regional School District.  My initial focus will be on listening and learning about BWRSD, and collaborating and identifying measurable outcomes for the 2019-2020 school year.  Thank you to the school committee for your confidence and I look forward to meeting with the Bristol Warren Regional School Community on July 22, 2019.”
We invite you to join us and our new interim superintendent for a Meet n’ Greet the evening of July 22nd, from 6 p.m.-7 p.m., prior to the regularly scheduled school committee meeting.  Refreshments will be provided. All are welcome!
Erin Schofield,
